CODE DIAGNOSIS TRIGGERED BY ASSOCIATED AREAS
1 NORMAL 'Check Engine' warning light will flash continously to show that the system is OK. NIL
13 RPM signal [Ne+, Ne-]
When no RPM signal (Ne) to the ECU with engine speed above 1000 rpm with STA OFF for over 0.5 seconds.
* Wirings and connectors (engine rev sensor systems)
* Engine rev sensor
* ECC (Emission Control Computer)
22 Coolant temperature signal [THW, E2]
Whenever a short circuit or a circuit detachment in the coolant temperature sensor is detected for over 0.5 seconds.
* Wirings and connectors (coolant temp systems)
* Coolant temp sensor
* ECC (Emission Control Computer)
31 Pressure sensor signal [PIM, Vc, E2]
Whenever a circuit detachment or a short circuit in pressure sensor circuit is detected for over 2 seconds.
* Wirings and connectors (pressure sensor system)
* Pressure sensor
* ECC (Emission Control Computer)
41 Throttle position sensor [VA, Vc, E2]
Whenever a short circuit or a circuit detachment in the throttle position sensor is detected.
* Wirings and connectors (throttle position systems)
* Throttle position sensor
* ECC (Emission Control Computer)
42 Speed sensor signal [SPD]
Vehicle with Manual gearbox:

When the speed sensor sent 0km/h signal to the ECC for more than 8 seconds while the engine speed is between 2700 rpm and 3700 rpm with throttle 50% opened and the coolant temperature is over 80 centigrade.

[SP1]
Vehicle with Automatic gearbox:

When no SP1 signal for every 4 pulse of SP2 signal for continuous period of 500 times while the speed is above 9km/h for over 4 seconds while the gear lever is positions other than 'P' or 'N'.
* Wirings and connectors (speed sensor systems)
* Speed sensor (meter built-in)
* ECC (Emission Control Computer)
43 Starter signal [STA]
When STA ON was detected for over 10 seconds while the engine speed is above 1200rpm.

STA OFF before the engine speed reaches 800rpm while the car is stationary.
* Wirings and connectors (starter systems)
* ECC (Emission Control Computer)
51 Switch signal [A/C, NSW, HSW]
When the air conditioning is on with T and E1 terminal of the service socket linked together whilst fast idle switch ON.
* Wirings and connectors
* Neutral starting switch
* Air conditioning switch
* ECC (Emission Control Computer)
71 EGR pressure feedback management [EGR]
When the difference between actual the EGR pressure and the default EGR pressure exceeds 50 mmHg for over 10 seconds while the main volts are over 11V with EGR ON and VSV OFF.
* Wirings and connectors (EVRV systems)
* Pressure sensor
* EVRV
* Blocked, damaged or disconnected sensing pipe and vacuum hose.
* ECC (Emission Control Computer)
